My Timetable
Nice Timetable Ritez? At least better than what I had during my Polytechnic.
Damn… Actually my weekday, Monday is free, but because I’m Kiasu. I signed up for the First Year Mentoring Group, as I couldn’t find a suitable slot on any other weekday. I had to take up the Monday Slot. Hope this mentoring group will be useful to my studies. If not I’m going to curse myself every Monday. *Pray*
During my first Quantitative Method Tutorials, we had a small test on Log, Deviation, Sample Distribution and etc. I forget all of them. OMG, I definitely fail this test.
Lucky, it is not counted into our grades. Whew!!
Orientation Week - Amazing Race

I meet more friends during the Orientation; Amazing Race organized Melbourne University Overseas Students Service (MUOSS). In fact, I participated in all their orientation activities, cos their provided free food for every of the event. Haahaa… =P Dun need to waste money $$$ and time. =D

Vegemite; is made from leftover brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of beer manufacture, and various vegetable and spice additives. The taste is difficult to describe but is extremely salty and slightly bitter. (All time Australian Favourite spread.)

Another Challenge: Tracy doing street performance, while we beg for donation from any passerby.
Finally got our donation of 5cents.. (Haahaa… So damn little, yet I can still laugh)

Melbourne Updates....

We had been meeting up often since arriving in Melbourne, Australia. Guess becos we are the only "OLD" & Polytechnic students doing our 1st Year- Bachelor of Commerce @ Melbourne University.
Similarly to me, he did Computing in Polytechnic, except he is in SP and Majoring in Networking. Haahaa... =D

Happy Chinese New Year
Landed on Melbourne, Australia on 14 Feb '07, 0615hrs. After waiting for 30mins, I'm ferried to my accommodation @ 48 Walsh Street, West Melbourne VIC 3003. It is located at the small, quiet neighbour. The surrounding is mostly residential building and about 200 metres away from Queen Victoria Market.
Damn, I waited for the management staff at the door for nearly an hour before he arrived. Argh..! The weather was freaking hot, definitely as hot or hotter than Singapore. Called him at airport and he said his staff will be there awaiting me. Sigh.. "Excellent Customer Service"!

Toilet, Shower Room, Kitchen and Living Room are all shared among 6 tenants.
My unit mates are Korean girl (Dun know her name yet), Japanese Guy (Sergiro), Hong Kong Guy (Terrence) and Me living together for now. 2 more vacant rooms.
(Now at State Library using their free wireless access. - which is located abt 20mins away from my residence.)
Things are so expensive here!
Some Examples:
1) Mobile: Every 30 secs call cost about 60cents
(39c per 30 seconds + 29cents per call - Flagfall (Connection fees))
2) Internet: There is no unlimited access of internet - Broadband.
Usage of internet is based on the amount of MB/GB used.
(100Mb per mths - AUD$19.95 - This rates is after promotion)
3) One Tram Ride: Costs about AUS$ 3.90, even if it is only 3-4 stops away, which is about the distance from my residence to University.
(Might be moving to a nearer residence after my contact - one year.)

It's been Three Long Years, since we finally meet up for a gathering. The feeling is wonderful great. It's so good to see them, and know that they are still doing great. =)
We went for Steamboat @ JuJu Hotpot. It's certainly worth the value, eating steamboat & being entertained by the chinese live band. Kezkez.....
The only pity is that Chee Keong "CK", Minghui, Rui Fang, Leonard and Bernard didn't manage to make it. Maybe we could meet up again for Movie or go Pub to chill out, when I'm back on July. =)

Malaysia Sales
I went to Malaysia today. Woah! It is certainly worth the trip. I spend SGD 70 dollars, on Dying & Cutting my hair @ Reds, One Movie show, One jacket & T-shirt and a meal @ Kim Gary Restoran.
Lunch @ Kim Gary Restoran is not bad, wasn't as good as i had expected. Know what we meet Michelle Chia and his boyfriend there! Haahaa... Too bad, we wasn't facing them directly. :P
I had yet to pack my luggage for my Australia study!

Last Day Of Work
Today is my last day in Accenture. I'm pretty SaD (Having to leave a great bunch of colleagues and friends), but at the same time HaPPy (Having more time for my family, friends & myself). Kez Kez Kez.. I can finally sleep longer. :p
It's a pity that I have to leave Singapore for studies (8 more days). BUT this is the path I had to walk for a better me. I will get to learn more new things, meet more people and experience a whole new culture. Hmmm… It sounds so exciting. =)
My emotion is definitely Contradicting, isn't it?? I feel so too.... =S
Freakonomics
I have finished reading this highly rated non-fiction book, Freakonomics. This book offered reader a new perspective of using on how economics can be used on non-monetary issues. It provides an interesting insight on how economics theory and data analysis can be applied on social and human behaviors issues. I feel that although the book offered interesting concept and insights, it's not enthralling enough. In additional, I could not much appreciate what the writers are trying to express. (My knowledge of economics is still shallow.) Maybe I will be able, after learning economics at University of Melbourne.
Yeah, I had enough time of indoor air-con. It's Time To Be More Outdoor, Got to go Swimming tomorrow morning.. Yeah!
